Muthusamy Appavu (Ahmedabad Defenders), Vinit Rai (Kolkata Thunderbolts), S.V. Guru Prasanth (Hyderabad Black Hawks), and Jerome Vinith (Calicut Heroes) are among the 20 players retained ahead of the much-anticipated season two of the RuPay Prime Volleyball, powered by A23.

The seven teams - Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Calicut Heroes, Chennai Blitz, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Kochi Blue Spikers and Kolkata Thunderbolts - had until 18th July to retain a maximum of three players from the first season. The rest of the squad will be completed at the second auction scheduled for 14th October.

Vinit was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the inaugural edition which was won by Kolkata Thunderbolts. Guru Prasanth of Hyderabad too had his share of the spotlight as he bagged the Emerging Player of the Season award.
